… so Plant One is perfect. It feels really good to be doing something so tangible to fight climate change, while also improving our local environment here in Cornwall. And it’s amazing to have such a stake in the future – we’re planting something that might grow for hundreds of years, and benefit so many generations to come.”

Corporate Partnership Plans

At Plant One, we work with companies all over the country to help improve Cornwall’s environment. We’re dedicated to restoring woodland habitats across the county and we do so through a range of payment schemes tailored to suit a wide variety of businesses. So if you’re interested in working with us and would like to discuss how, please get in touch and we’ll start your woodland creation journey.

Nature Positive Transactions

Flexible and effective, the humble NPT is by far our most popular scheme. Your NPT can come in any shape or size and is bespoke to your company. Simply select a line of products or a range of services and for every economic transaction you make, we’re there to translate it into a positive environmental effect for you. The number of trees you commit per transaction is entirely up to you and you can choose to pay it forward monthly or quarterly.

Cornwall Carbon Commitment

We strongly advise that every client starts their offsetting journey by exhaustively reducing their carbon emissions before you look to offset your unavoidable emissions. To begin your journey, we suggest checking out www.sage.com to start the process.

If you’re looking to offset your unavoidable emissions, then look no further.  Partnering with Plant One to deliver your offsetting requirements ensures you are investing in high-quality woodland creation in Cornwall. Our Cornwall Carbon Commitment ensures that carbon is sequestered through local woodland creation. Woodland Carbon Units (WCU) are a PAS 2060 certified unit that are not currently available in Cornwall. However, Plant One is establishing woodlands that will be certified by the Woodland Carbon Code creating WCUs for the future. If you sign up to our Cornwall Carbon Commitment and become a certified partner through this scheme, we will offer a 25% discount on all WCUs when they come available from 2027. The finances that you provide now will be offset by our woodland creation but won’t be PAS 2060 certified until they come of age.

We are a unique, high-end brand of offsetting that not only offsets but provides much needed habitat for local wildlife and helps to restore Cornwall’s long lost and forgotten woodlands. Our trees are not planted just to absorb CO2 but are planted to recreate natural woodland. If this is something you’re interested in, we’ll need a carbon assessment so we can quantify the number of native trees needed to offset your figures.

How much can a tree sequester?

The Forestry Commission estimates  that on average, a native woodland captures 480 – 530 tCO2e/ha after 50 years, and 625 – 700 tCO2e/ha after 100 years. Our planting densities of approximately 1,100 trees per hectare. We estimate that 2 trees will take up a tonne of CO2e at maturity (50 – 100 years).
